MAC 2000 isn't your average art meeting mixing creation, art and business with various success ( does the art shopping deception rings a bell ?). MAC 2000 is the meeting point for tomorrow's artists.

MAC 2000, the contemporary art event, was created in 1984. Since 2005, Hervé Bourdin, visual artist, but also president of the commission for culture of the regional council for Paris and its suburbs, has taken the lead, generating new dynamics.

An annual event, MAC 2000 takes place at the Espace Champerret in Paris (5000m²), where it introduces 130 professional artists of the day (painting, sculpture, photography, medial art, installation).

A commitee composed of artists, critics and art collectors is in charge of the rigorous selection, seeking emerging talents and new fields of creation.
The artists are present int their booths during the whole event, meeting the public composed of professionals and amateurs.

For its 2007 edition, MAC 2000 is gathering, new talents coming from all over the French regions, yet unknown talents. They will exhibit their innovative works for the first time in Paris. A Black & white gallerie will be in the heart of the exhibition.

n.b. Two musical evenings
Alien Brain Suckers will give MAC 2000 another beat on friday 23rd and Saturday 24th starting at 08pm with their cool blues and rock repertoire.

Opening Tuesday Octobre 30th - November 4th, 2007 from 5:00pm

Opening on Tuesday, October 30th from 5:00pm to 10:00pm

Since 1994 this art show is a delight to art enthusiast with its eclectism and its coloufull stands.
Everything strats with the magic of the place itself... the Bastille harbour, the boats, the pool, the footbridge, the gardens, everything contribute to a very special place indeed. Listen to visitors and exhibitors: "it's "à la Bastille and nowhere else!"
The "First exhibition" zone is getting bigger. Due to last year's success, artists taking advantage of this great opportunity are coming back in numbers and want to meet again the 30.000 visitors they met for the first time last year and become full exhibitors.

This year, the 14th edition's main theme will be "the Pallet", more than 500 artists will exhibit in the middle of a rather surprising setting realized with wooden pallet - wether painters tools (Palette means also this in french) or colored handling pallet. painted or diverted from their main purpose, it'll be pallet day...

For more than 20 years, the Gao Brothers - Gao Zhen & Gao Qiang ) team up to form a brilliant artistic couple which work is attempting to describe all over mutating China's paradoxes. Born in Jinan, in the province of Shandong, located in the north of China, both of them studied Art and together, they produce for the international an ensemble of virtuoso multimedia including video, photography, theatre, performance, painting and sculpture not to mention numerous critical essays and their mentoring of other artist's exhibitions.
True leaders, and despite repeated censorship from their fellow authorities, their are the over conscious observers of all transformations and turmoil happening in their country.

The Gao brothers stay away from any judgement or form of cynism. They watch mankind like scientist stare at viruses through a microscope. They reproduce human behaviours with a touch of choregraphy.

Valerio Adami "Jusqu’ici"
Vernissage on Saturday October 27th, 2007 from Noon till 08:00pm

Exhibition: Saturday October 27th to December 29th, 2007

Valerio Adami, the "Frenchier" Italian painter is coming back at the Daniel Templon gallerie with a new serie of painting made between 2006 and 2007. Entitled "Jusqu'ici" (up to here), the exhibition offer a filling past of themes dear to Valerio Adami's heart for the last 50 years: litterature, travel, relationship between poetry, music and painting.

After being absent for nearly 10 years, Valerio Adami did a spectacular come back with his 2004 first exhibition @ the Templon gallerie. we rediscovered his famous solid colors and his thick dark outlines reminding us the clear line of comic strips.

In this new exhibition, drawing still plays a fundamental role. For Adami, the outline, and notably the closed shapes, are tighly connected to language and words. Numerous literary references are appearing between the lines: Shakespeare, Nietzsche, Claudel… Like poems of an intimate atmosphere, the paintings develop memories of childhoods, theatre stages, vision of orient and hotel's rooms. Despite the richness of colours, the tone of the exhibition is somehow more introspective and gloom seems to haunt the painting's characters.
