GAME OVER
GROUP SHOW @ Magda Danysz gallery

Opening on Tuesday October 18th, 2007 from 6 to 9PM with Maya Hayuk, Jay, Jonone, Lokiss, Nunca, José Parla, Psy, West, etc.

This is THE graffiti exhibition of the week , big name of the writing/art world gonna be there : LOKISS, JON ONE, JOSE PARLA, OS GEMEOS...

How do we talk about the urban art of the present and its impact in today’s culture? As an activist of this movement, the gallery strongly reaffirms its support to these artists through a group show reuniting some key artists from all over the world. The artists in this show testify to a link between the cities language, from its walls and its life. As a real artistic movement, and probably the last one from the twentieth century, its diversity appears on the show. Now that the auctions from London to Paris are getting crazy for these artists it is important to bring these great artists together from New York, Brazil, France and many other cities as Maya Hayuk, Jay, Jonone, Lokiss, Nunca, José Parlá, Psy, West, and many others.

This style of art which is born from the City is immediate graphic expression, almost primitive yet eloquent . It is the art of the moment and an important fragment of our contemporary culture. It is this the expression of anonymity, of the forbidden, and of the taboo which creates an atmosphere that is suggesting a struggle towards artistic freedom.

Slick 07 - Contemporary art fair
from october 19 th till 22nd, 2007

Professional day & preview on october 18th (by invitation only)

SLICK 07 is opening to the public on october 19th in the 20th borough of Paris, during "La Semaine de l’art contemporain à Paris" (the contemporary art week in Paris) and therefore confirm its choice to be established in a typically lower/middle-class parisian neighbourhood.
You'll be able to meet with over 200 artists both from French and International emergent galleries.
The 2006 edition gathered over 10 000 visitors...

_Slick 07 welcomes the emergent french and international scene.

_Slick 07 is a fair to discover new artists and galleries. It's a discovery tipping point for a crowd of connoisseur. Many galleries from this year's selection are less than a year old. It's also a shortcut to the international art market, taking advantage of the nearby Paris FIAC's influence.

_Slick 07 is a meeting place for amateurs, onlookers and professionals around art in the making - paintings, sculptures, drawings, performance art, instalations, videos with a particuliar focus on new technology.

_Slick 07 is also a melting pot of ideas. Galleries and artists will show off their most recent works. A 100 seats auditorium will present conferences with moderator and participants from outside the _Slick world. _Slick open its doors to those external speakers to broaden the conversation and freely discuss what really matters to them.
A video program comped out from artist materials displayed at _Slick 07 will also be presented.

_Slick 07 is broadening. This year it'll have 34 galleries (from a mere 23 in 2006) and because _Slick is getting bigger, it now spreads over two different locations. At the Bellevilloise, 28 galeries will present collective displays or one man show. At the Pavillon Carré de Baudouin, Slick becomes SlickPROJECTS : Six galleries
settled in this new location will offer thematic or personal exhibitions.
