Since his recent collaboration with Merce Cunningham, Daniel Arsham has been thinking a great deal about accidents.
In this, Arsham's first new exhibition in Paris the GALERIE EMMANUEL PERROTIN Art Spaces is transformed with bespoke works that deal with the idea of a unique event multiplied. The large front window serves as an impromptu stage displaying the aftermath of an accident; a visual exposé of Cunningham's renowned ‘chance operations'.
The exhibit also includes a new sculptural installation, drawings and one small, hard-to-find piece that is well worth the hunt.

Arsham is concerned with the battle between the organic and the imposed synthetic. His work toys with preconceptions of boundaries drawn between nature and architecture by the very buildings themselves.
Arsham's collaborative work with Merce Cunningham featured in "eyeSpace" which was performed last week at the théatre de la ville.
